CARICOM and UN meeting on crisis in Venezuela
A Delegation from the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) led by Chairman, Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris of St. Kitts and Nevis is meeting today with United Nations Secretary-General His Excellency Antonio Guterres to discuss the crisis in Venezuela.

Prime Minister Harris is accompanied at the meeting by Dr. Hon Keith Rowley, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Hon Mia Mottley Prime Minister of Barbados, CARICOM Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque and the Foreign Ministers and UN Ambassadors of Barbados, Grenada and Trinidad and Tobago.

The meeting, at UN Headquarters in New York, is a follow-up to the decision of CARICOM Heads of Government at their Special Emergency Meeting on Thursday which discussed the on-going situation in Venezuela. The CARICOM Leaders agreed to request a meeting with the UN Secretary-General which he accepted.
