CARIFESTA XII Symposium draws crowd

The Biliotheque Nationale d’Haiti (Haitian National Library) was filled to capacity for day 2 of the CARIFESTA XII Symposium which is being hosted under the theme “The Caribbean, a collective memory”. Speakers at the symposium which began on August 25 included veteran Trinidadian author Earl Lovelace, Chairman of the CARICOM Reparations Committee and UWI Vice Chancellor Prof. Hilary Beckles and Consultant Team Leader CARIFESTA XII, Sydney Bartley.
