Eastern Caribbean keeping close eye on Isaac

Hurricane Isaac was Monday continuing to churn its way across the Atlantic towards the Eastern Caribbean chain of islands.

The 5:00 am forecast put Isaac at 14.7 North, 42.7 West or about 1,230 miles (1,985 KM) East of the Windward Islands.  It is moving towards the West at about 13 miles per hour, and this motion is expected to take it across the islands and into the Caribbean Sea by Thursday.

Isaac is packing winds of around 75 miles per hour, and forecasters are predicting some additional strengthening over the next day or two before some weakening as it approaches the islands.
