…the women’s football teams of Trinidad and Tobago and Ecuador are down in Trinidad’s Hasely Crawford Stadium today for the return match that rewards the winner with the 24th and last qualifying spot for next June/July’s FIFA Women’s World Cup finals to take place in Canada.

A scoring draw, like 1-1 or higher, in 90-minute regulation play will end the match with Ecuador getting the ticket to Canada as a result of being the away team benefitting from the away-goals rule of a double per goal scored.

A scoreless tie even after extra time will result in kicks from the penalty spot to arrive at a match-winner.
