Monday Inspiration: Unity essential for Caribbean’s survival

As we prepare for the Thirty-Seventh Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM 4-6 July, we continue to feature inspiring excerpts from speeches delivered by the Heads of Government of Dominica and Guyana. This is in keeping with the unique arrangements for the Meeting that opens on the evening of 4 July, CARICOM Day.

The Meeting is being held in Georgetown, Guyana, under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of Dominica, the Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit,in keeping with the rotation schedule of CARICOM Heads of Government. Dominica could not host because of the damage wrought by Tropical Storm Erika last year and Guyana stepped in to host the Meeting. The CARICOM Secretariat is co-hosting the Conference.
