Patterson touts Caribbean as excellent investment destination

NEW YORK, United States — Former Jamaican Prime Minister P J Patterson yesterday told a television audience here that Jamaica and the rest of the Caribbean present “excellent opportunities for investors seeking to invest in the region.

Patterson, who appeared on ABC’s weekly news programme Now And Then, listed research and development of a commercial cannabis industry for medicinal, therapeutic and other uses as “one area that holds great potential for investors”.

He also added that there are still opportunities for further investment in tourism, and that the manufacturing sector holds even greater opportunities and incentives for those seeking to invest in the Region.
