Guyana to host meeting of CARICOM, Cuban Foreign Ministers
(News Room) Foreign Ministers of CARICOM and Cuba will be in Georgetown for their sixth meeting on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Arthur Chung Convention Centre.
Among areas of mutual interest on the agenda are CARICOM-Cuba relations and issues pertinent to the region such as climate change, tourism, and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here announced Wednesday.
Visiting Cuban Foreign Minister, His Excellency Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, is also expected to meet with Guyana’s Foreign Affairs Minister Karen Cummings and President David Granger.
Guyana, along with Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Cuba on December 8, 1972.
