- Hurricane Danny was located about 985 miles east of the Leeward Islands in the eastern Atlantic Ocean as of 5 a.m. EDT Friday.
- Maximum sustained winds have increased to 85 mph with higher gusts.
- Some slight strengthening is possible before Danny begins weakening this weekend.
- Danny will track west-northwest, reaching the Leeward Islands Monday.
- A weakened Danny may bring drought-relieving rainfall to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands early next week.
